Innamincka
Innamincka is a small township in the
north-eastern part of South Australia. Only a few houses can be found here:
the Trading Post, the Hotel and the Innamincka Regional Reserve Headquarters.
Innamincka is a perfect place to stop after a long trip, to have a cold beer
at the Innamincka Hotel where excellent meals are served.
The Trading Post offers everything you need: Water, petrol and food.
Coopers Creek with his permanent
waterholes is close to Innamincka. It's a perfect place for watching animals,
canoeing and fishing.
You can camp along the creek. Most of
the campgrounds are within the Regional Reserve. To camp there, a permit is
required, but you can also camp on a nice campground on town common.
